When you drink green juice, you’re flooding your body with fruits and veggies that are rich in antioxidants, which help reduce inflammation and neutralize free radicals that can damage your cells. Applying Saint Jane’s new Superflower Detox Serum does the same for your skin. It’s packed with antioxidant-rich plant oils and extracts, giving skin a mega dose of powerful nutrients that give it the goodness it needs and break down what it doesn’t.

“I’ve always prioritized antioxidants in my diet, so it felt like the right time to create a formula with millions of micronutrients that nourish the skin,” says Casey Georgeson, founder and CEO of Saint Jane. “Detox to me means a total reset for your body and mind. Detox is part of the name and benefit of our newest serum because your skin needs a reset too. This serum does that: it restores the balance and barrier of the skin with essential nutrients and hydration.”

The Saint Jane Superflower Detox ($88) is packed with so many different botanicals, but Georgeson is especially fond of the rose, blue tansy, and winter cherry.

“This serum has some of my favorite flowers in our Active Flower Concentrate, like rose, which is great for clearing out toxins,” she says. “We source the rose from Bulgaria, where the petals are hand-picked by women who have been cultivating this rose’s precious oil in this way for centuries. Another favorite is blue tansy, which is rich in antioxidants and helps restore the natural biome of repair the skin. Winter cherry is ultra-moisturizing and helps replenish the skin’s hydration level. When mixed, they work together to renew the skin.”

While Saint Jane is known for its CBD skincare, this serum is made without the calming ingredient.

“The Superflower Detox Serum is our third product without CBD,” says Georgeson. “While I love CBD as an ingredient in skincare, we only include it in products where it can have a real effect on the skin, such as our Luxury Beauty Serum or Sacred Sleep. For this particular formula, it wasn’t a necessary ingredient! Plus, you can combine our CBD products with our Active Flower formulas and get the same calming results.

Applying the Superflower Detox serum is a wonderful experience. It has a green tint that indicates you are about to flood your skin with a luscious blend of botanicals. The scent is divine – fresh and floral. The serum has a delicious oil texture that feels rich on the skin but dries without feeling sticky. I apply it as the last serum in my routine before my moisturizer. As great as it feels on its own, the magic happens when you layer other products on top. It makes my moisturizer feel 10 times more decadent than usual. The serum mixes with the moisturizer as you rub it in, creating this beautiful buttery texture that I love.

While my complexion tolerates the botanical blend well, know that it can be too much if you have sensitive skin. Because the longer the ingredients list, the greater the exposure to potentially irritating ingredients. But if oils and fragrances aren’t triggering your skin, this serum is a game-changer. It feels so good that you want to bathe in it.
